McKenzie's Story
Since 2015, McKenzie LaBuda has dedicated her expertise to assisting Alaskans in the realm of real estate. Commencing her career at the age of 18 immediately after high school, McKenzie commenced as a receptionist in a dynamic, high-yield real estate and appraisal office. Swiftly advancing to the role of Transaction Coordinator and Broker’s Assistant, she subsequently acquired her Real Estate Salesperson License in December 2016.
In her initial three years, McKenzie played a pivotal role in representing one of the most active General Contractors in the market area. Beyond traditional Realtor responsibilities, she adeptly managed approximately 100 new construction, Single and Multi-Family transactions across various regions of Alaska. Her responsibilities extended to efficient handling of interior design and selections, plan review, local permitting, and more, establishing her proficiency in the intricate world of New Construction.
Her interest in real estate appraisals began to grow along the way, facilitated by her fortunate association with a Broker who doubled as a Certified Residential Appraiser. Embarking on training with her Broker/Supervisor in 2018, McKenzie diligently balanced full-time work at the brokerage, college pursuits, and multiple out-of-state educational trips. In January 2023, she successfully attained her Residential Appraiser’s Certification, subsequently operating as an independent appraiser with a keen appreciation for the flexibility and diversity inherent in being both a Realtor and an Appraiser.
Outside her professional pursuits, McKenzie fulfills the roles of a mother, wife, and long time resident in the Mat-Su Valley. She is a native of Wasilla, Alaska, with roots dating all the way back to her great grandfather who was a real estate developer in the 1970s. She manages three personal rental houses and an Air BNB which she constructed and closed on at the age of 19. When she is not working, which is never, her and her family enjoy spending long weekends at the cabin, snow machining in Hatcher Pass, and just being outside as much as possible.
Hailing from a family deeply ingrained in the region, McKenzie leverages her extensive network built over nearly a decade to creatively assist her clients in diverse situations. Committed to her client service, she ensures 24/7 communication throughout the year, dedicated to guiding clients from their first home purchase to their forever home.
